Coaching's Mission Control

Ezra | Branding coaching culture with character

“When we started with Motive we were looking for a partner who would not only welcome the chance to work with a brief that was maybe quite far out, but that would take our brief to an even bigger and better level.”

— Nick Goldberg, Ezra Founder & CEO

Ezra is a digital coaching platform on a mission to make happiness and productivity accessible to everyone. The name Ezra comes from the Hebrew word for “Helper,” and it’s truly at the heart of everything they do.

Their journey began three years ago, driven by a desire to bring professional coaching to the masses, not just to the upper tiers of organisations. Over that time, their vibrant culture has become something worth noticing. It’s this culture that fuelled their success and led to the need for a new HQ worthy of the “Ezranauts.”

In just two months, Motive transformed a standard plug-and-play office into a haven for what Ezra proudly calls its “Fun Culture” and fanatic spirit.

A brand playground for serious fun

The result is humorous, trippy and youthful. It radiates excitement and optimism through creativity and passion – not through slogans, but through immersive, irreverent workplace design. It’s a happy spirit Pharrell Williams would be proud of.

Take the sleek “X” room, tailored for executive clients. It features a premium finish, complete with a Kaelo bottle chiller that keeps orange juice at the perfect temperature. Or the living room area, with its body-engulfing super sofa that transports the mind to a place where you can truly feel at home.

Even the meeting rooms have purpose at their core. None more so than “Ronald,” named after Ezra’s first client, McDonald’s. The design avoids the obvious red and yellow, instead using carefully chosen décor like vintage Happy Meal toys. It’s already a fan favourite, where the sweet colours seem to seep into people’s minds the moment they step inside.

Art that coaches the mind

Another standout is the large curved mural that splashes David Shillinglaw’s artwork across the open plan space. Its intuitive, playful forms create a patchwork of thought-provoking moments, inspired by Ezra’s mission as well as the artist’s own ideas.

There’s more. The Coke bottle brand art installation in the “Cola” room pays homage to Ezra’s pitch-winning bottle. The once red phone booth that’s been with Ezra since their very first office now boasts a Shoreditch-style makeover by street artist Captain Kris.

And we can’t forget the “Lisbon” room, which honours Ezra’s first global off-site. It now bursts with emphatic colours and authentic Portuguese tiling. Floating above it all, a gravity-defying Ezranaut spacesuit hovers over visitors in reception, a playful nod to those waiting to be seen.

A workplace that smiles back

Ezra’s happy x productivity hub is the millennial playground that CEO Nick Goldberg has always envisioned. Powered by his team’s unwavering enthusiasm, it opens its arms to everyone who embraces Ezra’s “do-good to feel-good” mantra.
