Hackney-based, Wirral-born Connor is an architect by trade who paints landscapes and abstractisms purely with a palette knife.

This Hearst-commissioned piece is based off an iconic Country Living photograph of weaver Felicity Irons punting along a Cambridge river, having hand-harvested ‘bolts’ of bulrushes.
